Eastern Oregon acquired their first autism walk in April of 2016. The first venue was Max Square in our beautiful downtown. 2016 was also the year Eastern Oregon had its incredible winter that left most of the valley snowed in. We decided to move the walk to the third Saturday in June to Riverside Park Pavilion due to uncertain weather conditions in our area. With the growth of Autism Awareness and the community relationships the Autism walk has since moved to the second Saturday in August located at the UC Fairgrounds providing a safe place for those on the Autism spectrum along with their families and community to share their stories.
