Art Center East would like you to join us for a special presentation by Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research for Americans for the Arts, on Wednesday, September 18, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Press Room Coffee & Books. The event will highlight the findings from the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) study, which reveals the powerful economic impact of nonprofit arts and culture in Northeast Oregon.

In 2022 alone, our region’s arts and culture sector generated over $6 million in economic activity, supporting 144 jobs and contributing $1.5 million in tax revenue. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about how the arts are shaping the future of Union, Baker, and Wallowa counties, enhancing our local economy, and enriching our communities. These insights may be especially helpful as the City considers upcoming investments in maker-oriented infrastructure in downtown La Grande.
