Back to School Clothing Swap

Celebrate back to school season with Environment Oregon and Community Kindness of Eastern Oregon at our “Back to School Clothing and School Supply Swap” event. This event will also help to celebrate six years of Community Kindness.

A back to school swap is where people bring some of the clothes, shoes and other school supplies your kids no longer wear or use (but that are still in decent shape) and trade them with other people. That way, you can refresh your kids’ back to school wardrobe without having to spend any money. And as an added bonus, it reduces waste by keeping clothing and other school supplies in use for longer!

This is a totally free event, but to participate you must bring a minimum of two items to swap. All are welcome, but this event is intended for swapping items for kids aged 5-14 (K-8).

How it works:
Arrive with a few clothing or other school related items (2-20) that you’d like to swap. Items should be in good condition (no stains or damages). You’ll be able to take home as many items as you bring (ie. If you bring 5 items, you can take home up to 5 items). There will be tables and clothing racks to use for display as people “shop!”

All leftover clothes will be donated to a local shelter after the event.
